I have some friends with that kind of age gap and it doesn't seem to be a problem, for now anyway. A relationship is a relationship whatever the ages involved, some work/last some don't.

At least with a woman in her forties you know what you are getting unlike someone in their twenties/thirties who is still maturing.

I don't see it as a problem in compatability terms. I suppose really it is just the having children thing that concerns me.

You could always offer to be a surrogate mother. Anyhoo, you are concerned about them breeding. How long have they been 'going out'?

Presumably, he will take this into account.

I hope so. It's just that previously he hasn't really thought it through long term wise. I just worry about him.  redface:

No I like him! Apart from the whole enabling Mr Wench at football!
It's only MILFH I have issues with.  redface:

Neither of us had a problem with the age gap, my ex is intelligent and sensible, we just seemed on the same wavelength from when we first met. I would never have been attracted to some flighty airhead anyway.

Her family seemed fine with it as well. I always got on well with the her sister and parents, I was after all nearer the inlaw's age than my wife's.

Although it wasn't a major factor in our breakup it did have some bearing on when we wanted to have children.
