I took my car in to be serviced this morning and they ask me for the special locking nut for the wheels.
Took me 45 minutes of turfing the boot out to find it.

I shouldn't laugh

I had a flat the other day, called out local garage to assist.
We couldn't find the "special locking nut" in my Citroen boot. Looked in the two "secret compartments" nothing, so we wound down the spare wheel, which is beneath the car. Inside the wheel nestled a plastic box with the word TOOLS on it. The mechanic and I leapt for the box and ripped two fingernails getting it open. Inside was the jack, in two parts, but no wheel brace or locking nut. Back to Zee 'andbook. Wheel brace is located in a "secret compartment" set into the floor beneath the rear passenger's feet. There are two such, one either side. Not in first one ~ well it wouldn't be would it? In second "Secret Compartment" we find the wheel brace but NO FECKING locking nut

~ back to Zee 'andbook. "When taking delivery of your new Citroen the dealer will hand you the keys (Duh!) and a package containing the locking nut ~ make sure to get this from the dealer." BUT the dealer does not give you Zee 'andbook. Eet iz een zee glove box and you don't find it until you get 'ome you French b@st@rds! Shovelling zee 'handbook and sundry other accumulated crap back into zee glove box I met with an obstruction. Fished it out and it was a small plastic bag containing a locking nut!

Time wasted 1 hour!
