Air beds
« on: February 17, 2009, 05:02:35 PM »
My mother has a spare room where both the brat and I are sleeping at present. When we come to stay she always puts the air bed up for 1 of us to sleep on. Suffice it to say it is not me  noooo:

It is quite an expensive air bed - could almost get a proper bloody mattress  for the money - except mum claims she has no storage (so not true).

Anyway back to Air Beds. Given the advances in technology why can an air bed (even with fleeced , flocked bloody lining ) not prevent the following:-

Losing it's firmness during the night ( I mean the mattress before this goes way off topic before it even begins  lol:
Squeaking every time occupant turns over  evil:
Neck ache from built in pillow which is crap and useless
The need for a mattress liner ( again I reiterate why not just get a mattress  noooo:) etc

And why do so many of them have those funny ridges and things - what is the point? It can't be for structural integrity because they never last long enough to be tested properly. It can't be for insulation as they are always freezing.

Useless bloomin things  evil:

Whether by chance or intent Miss D, I think you've just made a valuable contribution to the world's great Oxymoron debate  lol:

Right up there with Military Intelligence and Express Bus  ;)

Of course the noise of an air pump might drown out the cockerel  bom
Like the Buddhist said to the hot dog vendor...

Having a great time can't you tell  lol:

Seriously-  good shopping trip today bought loads of goodies. Have also completed a zillion forms that mum needed filling in for this that and the other. Sorted out her computer problems. Scanned some pictures she wanted saving. Completed an online application she needed doing and deferred the interrogation of when I am going to settle down  noooo:

All in all not bad for a flying visit

As long as he sleeps face down it shouldn't be too painful for everyone else  lol:
