I try to pick the time carefully for shopping, avoiding the rush and peak times and aiming for a less stressful experience. What I didn't anticipate today was this...



The quaintly named "Pixi-Photo" had set up shop studio photo booth just behind the checkouts and the din was horrendous. Whether it was the flashlights making them squawl or the Waynetta mums forcibly arranging the limbs of their spawn I know not.
There was a queue as well...  ::)

Apparently (after a deft Google) they are not held in that high regard by their clientele... rip off prices, waiting times, unprofessional staff. I'd like to see the Administrators calling on this bunch tbh.

The only light moment was when an old boy behind me in the checkout queue asked if I was going to get my mugshot done. I laughed and said not likely, how about you?
He grinned, winked, and said:


"I get mine done for free every so often...  Parkhurst!"

How terrible for you. I have long refused to pay for "School Photographs" as a matter of principle.
