CCTV not liking what it sees
« on: March 04, 2009, 03:14:57 PM »
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/lincolnshire/7923718.stm

A couple who were caught on CCTV cameras simulating sex to torment their neighbours have both been given two-year restraining orders.

Deputy District Judge Alan Fowler said the CCTV cameras, which had been pointed into the couple's back garden by the four neighbours, did invade their privacy but they were entitled to do this by law as they were detecting a crime.
He said: "The response of Mr Jarman and Miss French to the cameras was entirely unnecessary and bizarre in the extreme, with Miss French holding up her jumper and walking up and down with a sign saying 'pervert' on it.

Am I missing something here but if four neighbours had pointed CCTV cameras towards my house I think I too would be bloody pissed off  evil:

Granted they do not look the most reasonable people on the planet and there is probably a whole history of unresolved neighbour disputes going on here, but it all seems really odd to me  noooo:

I think the town in the link... Wrangle.... and Lincolnshire give it away. Sounds like the culmination of four years of ASB have at last been resolved... or not  ::)

I think I appear something like 300 times a day on CCTV living in London... and I'm not simulating a sex act by the way  eeek:

Glad to hear it.

Back to the OP. I imagine they must have been the "neighbours from hell" to make four other neighbours to point cameras at them.

eeek:   They've now put video of the CCTV up on the link. All I can see is a man wielding a stick and then getting up a ladder. Very odd.

Of course

The man appeared to be using the step ladder to lean over and write something on his neighbour's fence.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

Don't the ones in the garden just become skips eventually anyway  noooo:

All honourable craven owners ( an oxymoron to quote Pastis ) would have the decency to store them somewhere far away from the residence
