So how did it fail to impress?

1. Higly recommended
2. Grossly expensive to get in
3. Shite
4. Crap overpriced food
5. Extremely poor service from very rude people
6. Shite
7. Boring museum
8. http://www.bucklershard.co.uk/ipus/bucklershard/index

Bucklers Hard was one of the most peaceful and pretty spots in the New Forest until the fecking Grockles found it and then everyone moved in to make money out of it.  evil:

In answer to the thread question ~ Just about everywhere I have ever been and then revisited some years later. Never go back ~ you'll be disappointed is my motto
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

Never going back is a good motto for life in whatever aspect Snoops  8)

I feel I may have to change the thread title again. This is about going somewhere for the 1st time and it not living up to your expectations. This being a place you have always wanted to visit etc etc etc

Does no one understand me  sad32:

I said Cyprus. Foul weather, too many goats and run by cowboys and crooks

I had to resort to the never going back theme as everywhere I have been for the first time I have enjoyed the experience ~ there is always a daisy to be found, even in a shitehole. Much depends on attitude.

After much thought I would say that Marriage has failed to live up to expectations ~ does that count?

Anyway, my ex-wife's comment on standing at the edge of the Grand Canyon.

"Is that it?"

And crossing the Rockies by train,

"Not another bloody mountain"

My sister went with friends to Toronto. They went up the big tower, tallest in the world, has a glass floor so you can stand on it and look down.

Friend did. SHe said ' Oh look how small everything is. Do you think this is where they got the idea for Dinky toys?'  noooo:
