Touch sensitive
« on: March 22, 2009, 10:35:25 AM »
I have a mobile phone that is touch sensitive on some parts of the menu  - not a iphone by any means though  cry:

However in the last few days it has decided it doesn't like being touched and I am having to find work arounds to get to the menu's.

However it still means I can't access certain screens  evil:

Anybody know of any fixes - apart from getting a brick phone or smashing it. I am not due for an upgrade for another 6 months  eveilgrin:

[serious] Dependent on the technology used, a good clean with some spirit might help [/serious]

Or it might just be buggered...  noooo:

True. Open it up take the battery out and clear out all the dust and muck that will no doubt be in there. That sometimes makes the work mobiles work better.

Tried that Wenchy and it works ok for a couple of times then goes back to being unco-operative.

Thanks BM - I shall try cleaning with spirit - not my prized Vodka though - that is mine  cloud9:

With hindsight, perhaps some washing up liquid and then wipe off with a damp cloth... I'd hate you to report that the case had dissolved....  noooo:

Combination of the two perhaps. I've just looked at the bottle and the sewing I did last night and it would seem I drank more than I thought and also that I have some unpicking to do this morning.  redface: Straight seams not so straight. If it was for me I'd say bugger it but it's a present.  noooo:

Just a thought Miss D but do you have a protective cover over the touch screen. If so then they can make it harder to get the touch screen to work as they reduce the amount of pressure that gets through to it.
