BBC fritter away our money
« on: March 24, 2009, 05:46:54 AM »
I know, it's hardly the most revealing fact

Last week a guy on one of the forums I use was asked by the BBC to appear on a live programme the following evening. He said he was tired and didn't want to appear as the 120 mile would knacker him (a two hour drive!). "That's alright, we'll get a taxi to pick you up and we'll put you up in a nearby travel lodge". 120 miles in a taxi!

Folllowing the show, he travelled back on the train. I didn't see the show, but christ knows how much his few minutes of fame cost us  cussing:

He's a campaigner for legalising cannabis. Makes me wonder how much they were paying for Swampy etc now. And if they get that sort of treatment, how much do other better known people get paid, and what perks do they get

All of a sudden I have an image of Growler as Father Jack...

Although given his comment above I now wonder if his cake obsession is due to the munchies! Is he puffing away on the waccy baccy up 'is 'ill?  rubschin:
