You have a forty foot high screen?
No...  noooo:

But then I don't sit thirty meters away from it...

A 3m screen (like wot I have) from 3m away (like where I sit) has the same huge screen effect...
It is clear that you have not sat in a "multi plex" for many years. I have yet to sit 30 metres (300 + feet) from the screen or anything like it. As I said we are comparing apples with pears here.
I am sure you feel honestly believe that your "Home Cinema" is the best way to watch movies. I accept that I have not seen your version of a "Home Cinema" but I have seen others and, as I said, very good they are too. I seldom watch TV or videos for that matter but I do occasionally take the kids to the cinema. I find, as I always have, that it is a pleasing experience and well worth the admission. Whether I would want to spend £thousands trying to recreate the same experience at home when part of my pleasure comes from the "going out for a treat" aspect is what I doubt.
I confess that I have taken the p*ss because you never stop mentioning your "Home Cinema" in one form or another but I am deadly serious when I say that in my opinion such a room at home would never replace the pleasure I get out of a trip to the cinema.
You have the right to spend your money how you wish and I am sure you would concede that I have the right to spend mine in the way I prefer.

Now I have offered to drop the subject several times and with Nick's assistance have tried to but you keep coming back to it. Can you not accept that your opinion is not necessarily the right one for everyone else and let it drop? Frankly I am sick of the bloody "home cinema" and would rather talk about something else ~ as I have been trying to do.

You can try that again if you think it would help. I seem to be embroiled in an argument that I did not want just because I doubted that I would enjoy someone else's idea of pleasure. Perhaps I should nip round to the Hospital and check out the rugs so that I might pass an opinion.

I'm sorry if I bore you by going on about my home cinema all the time... you seem offended by my shower posts too which is quite frankly why I have stopped updating it...  noooo:

Perhaps the best solution is to ignore any threads to which I have contributed...  ::)

No, No, I am fascinated by your shower saga. I confess that I was and still am at a loss to understand why you decided to do it after you had decorated as I personally (as I recall I did at the time) would have done all the installation work, which was bound to be messy, dust everywhere etc. before I redcorated but that was my only question about it. Since being told that such an opinion was "Talking a load of old bollocks" I haven't mentioned it until today. Do update us on progress. Popcorn:

About a third of what you would like to take should just about creep under the allowance.  lol:

I know all about that Miss D ~ been married twice BUT the airlines do have limits on how much you may take.

Both wives have been devotees of:

For travelwear when flying ~ any excuse to hit the my plastic.

There is also a shop near Euston Station that specialises in Travel wear ~ the non crease variety. Can't remember the name of it Sorry

But I thought that as a woman you'd be jumping at the chance to go clothes shopping with LL while you are over there. After all, how much damage could the pair of you do to Baldy's credit card....  whistle:

There is no direct relationship between how much you pack and how many shopping trips are planned. You cannot factor in the unknown therefore you have to take stuff 'just in case'  lol:
