Research so far has only extended to a size 6 padded Jiffy bag - which works fine. Why don't you experiment?

Don't use white bags or plastic ones. The former let light through and the latter will make the avocados "sweat".
A large manila envelope will do the job.

They fit big blue bags over bunches of bananas here - presumably to help them ripen... or keep pests off or summat.... try a blue bag...  whistle:

Blue Bags ~ mother used to pop one into the copper boiler when she washed "whites".
