In theory at least the American's finally came up with a good idea for tinterweb. A way of finding people with whom you had lost contact, a quick and simple way to share information.
But then there's the downside: People!
What an assortment of tossers people are! Is it exclusive to my circle of 'friends' or is the world composed entirely of fuctards? Now I started off tentatively and have stuck to my own rule of no family or work colleagues. Then it got confusing as the female gender began to add me as a friend, i barely remember the names of half the people I was at school with, what chance have I got since you have married and changed your name? Essentially, you are Claire. Give us a feckin clue!
Then you have those who take their status update far too literally and have a life that is far too boring! I really don't care that you have a pile of ironing to do. Worse still, you are not the only person to have ever popped a sprog, davey eating a fish finger hardly constitutes news worthy of my attention.
And then you realise what a bunch a twats some people truly are, two people have blocked me based on the fact that I stated what a truly pointless exercise lighting a candle for Jade Goody was. Or, as was more likely, joining a shitty group of people claiming to have lit a candle for her. The only benefit I can see to this is reducing the resources of wax to try and prevent Tussauds from making a model of the pig ugly feckless troll. But to block me as a 'friend' for pointing out that there were thousands of other people suffering, both more worthy of their compassion and less able to rape the sympathy vote for cash, is plain stupidity. Furthermore it is, in essence, blocking the freedom of speech.
Tossers!
