We have asked the repair man to train him in looking after the instrument. I got it on Ebay for about £140 and have spent that much again getting it undented. The Boy is amazingly hamfisted. The guy said he knew the general patterns of damage inflicted by kids but that this one was in a class of its own

Short week ....culiminating in a chocolate orgy at the weekend.

We had that scenario yesterday. Mrs Nick failed to collect saxophone on Friday so Boy is saxophoneless. It now turns out that the school lent him one for the holidays. 'SO where is it?' 'Um, at school.'
