As your resident NHS insider I can tell you that swine flu is at the top of your GP's agenda along with medication reviews of any kind. A list too long to bore you and me both with.

This has to do with 'QOF points'.

QOF being 'Quality and Outcomes Framework' this means anytime you bring a patient in for pretty much anything the GP gets a wad of cash.

This is the last month of the financial year so you can take my word for it that Swine Flu jabs are absolutely vital to the survival of the UK population.

They are also vital to the choice of holiday destinations for your local GP.

I am afraid to say it is now a business, the money your surgery gets has to be earned etc, also they can have money taken off etc for not achieving the qof etc. sad but true....

and soon Dr's surgeries are going to be accredited....and gonna have patient participation groups, and if they don't get accredited  you could be closed down, so we been told what public wants public can have or else......this is gonna be fun i tell you...

soon we will be able to register at any practice in UK..thats gonna be fun when old Mrs smith wants a visit down in cornwall......

nhs is being bled dry...and don't get me started on all the free nhs care that overseas students entitled too...non EU students, uni gets richer while nhs struggles to care for em.... Banghead

So the good news is that this volcanic ash is being washed down by rain. I can see it on my car  cussing:
