A patient suffering from swine flu died Sunday in hospital in Scotland, authorities there announced, in the first death of a patient with the virus in Britain and the first outside the Americas.
"With regret, we can confirm that one of the patients who had been in hospital, and had been confirmed as suffering from the H1N1 virus, has died today," said a statement issued by the Scottish Government. "The patient had underlying health conditions."

Confirmed today on the news that she was 38, had recently given birth to a premature baby and died of flu related "complications". How much is true and how much is scaremongering I have no idea but Prof Rentagob AKA Pennington was on the news burbling about it being serious but only for a very few people. I 'spect her family and the baby consider it serious enough.
