We have several of our staff ringing to say they ' feel ' like they have sore throats and as the advice is to stay away from others they had best stay at home.

This could be a waster's charter for the next few months

I see in today's rag that anyone who imagines they have swine flu will be encouraged to take two weeks off work.

Well the person who told us yesterday morning was calling to say her little boy, who was due to be here on a sleepover with Minimus this coming weekend, has been playing with the child who, along with its mother, has been confirmed as having Swine Flu in Colwyn Bay whilst she, the caller, was going into Walton Hospital, Scallypool for an operation. She said "I don't suppose you want him to come for the weekend now". We said "Well obviously not and we think you had better tell the hospital also as they are unlikely to want you in there as a potential carrier either".

Last evening the local paper came out with the headline I posted.
