Test Match special in the pub - buy 5 pints whilst the cricket is on and get a free pint. So I'll prolly end up having 12 today :-)

I've got it!  eeek:

Tight chest, painful cough, high temperature, sweats and shakes overnight.

I've contacted the National Pandemic Flu Centre and they recommend antivirals because of my heart condition. So a kind neighbour is going to get them for me. She came over to collect the references and my ID.

She held out a plastic bag for me to put them in so she didn't have to touch them.

Well what do you expect if you will spend two weeks cooped up in a confined space with a lot of strangers and then compound the folly by flying back and forth in an even smaller space breathing recirculated air that has already been through at least 120 other people's lungs?

Sorry you don't feel up to snuff but honestly. Self inflicted wounds win no medals you know.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

Bad luck old chap. I hope you recover very soon.  cry:

Not connected, but is your 'Health and Efficiency' collection promised to anyone?

I mostly despair

Wasn't after medals.   ::)

No real idea where I got it from. Feel a bit better today but the office doesn't want me in (unclean! unclean!)

Nice of the neighbours to help out, at a distance of course.

How long do you have to stay off for...?

Not sure, I've had it for about 4-5 days and I think that the advice is that you can still spread the flu up to 5-7 days after the initial symptoms appear. Depends on how I feel of course but I might go back Wednesday.

I've just had two weeks off, holiday like. This may sound odd but I would like to get back.

Of course, give it half an hour in the office and I'll want to be at home.  ;)
