Hello,

A staff member has replied to your question:

Hello Mark,

Thanks for contacting us. I've had a look at your site and the load times ; the site loaded quickly for me @ 1.2 seconds for the full page, I've also tested this externally to our network via a proxy server and it only took 5 seconds.  I've used various website speed tests on the net and they all show that your site is loading in a timely fashion (within 2 seconds or so). We haven't altered anything as far as our server or network configuration is concerned either. Please get back in touch if you feel there are still problems.

Thanks.

It is mucho faster today .... perhaps fewer people on the www locally but unlikely on a Saturday. The VP is now running as fast/slow as all other sites I have been on today ~ not rivals but shopping and looking for family history stuff.

Either BM fixed it (unknowingly?) or it was just one of those things.
