Weeds
« on: May 10, 2009, 08:51:00 AM »
I have not got green fingers   noooo:

I can appreciate the efforts that many people make in their gardens and that the effect looks lovely. But the only thing I can successfully grow is weeds. Not just one sort mind you there are a variety  whistle:

I only tidied up the garden ( although calling it a garden is probably pushing the boundaries of the definition somewhat !!) the other week ...but peering at the bloody thing this morning it's time to do battle again  evil:

Apart from paving over the bloody green stuff how do you get rid of them ? - I have tried lotions, potions and shouting at them  lol:

Definition of a weed = A Plant growing in the wrong place.
Remember that most of our "Plants" are considered weeds by some cultures.

There is no permanent cure ~ even concrete will eventually become weed covered.

Learn to live with them, call it a wild flower garden and enjoy the various butterflies, moths and other crawly things that it attracts. They will soon be followed by birds who will eat all the nasties. Wild flower gardens are very fashionable ~ Even the Prince of Wales has one.

Some people can get generous EEC grants for that sort of thing.  whistle:

Window boxes are a elf and safety risk in case they fall and bop someone on the head like....so whatever funding you may receive this will be counteracted by having to increase your personal liability insurance  whistle:
