Cool. I shan't look at the link as I don't wish it to be spoiled. May take myself off to the cinema at the weekend then.  cloud9:

Think of it as a "parallel universe" version.

scaryduck has a great synopsis of the film - scroll down to May 14.

DO NOT LOOK IF YOU DON'T WANT THE PLOT SPOILED.

 ;D

All being well Mrs TG and I shall go and see it on Sunday.

She is not happy about it as she would rather cut her own feet off than see a Star Trek film.

I offered to lend her an axe but she relented as long as she is fed and watered afterwards like.  noooo:

I think my cat wants to kill me...

That will work till she see's the roommate scene lol:

Just got back from watching the film and l really enjoyed it. After the cock up the studio made in not letting Abrams direct the last series of Enterprise he's rejuvinated the franchise with this film.
The universe is run by the complex interweaving of three elements. Energy, matter, and enlightened self-interest.

Do they still shake the cameras and do the actors still run from side to side of the set?

The THW also saw it yesterday ~ she said it was crap and not at all like the "original". I had to point out that the "original" is something like 40 years old and things have changed a bit technology wise. Her BF enjoyed it thoroughly.

Perhaps it's a boy/girl thing

Apparently they built a special tilting/vibrating floor thing for this film.
