I'm fairly sure it is going to be at the Marquis of Granby in Epsom High street close to the station like... real ales-a-plenty for the men...

I sahll check it out tomorrow lunch time just to get a feel for the me and you...  whistle:

Miss D -care to join me for lunch on the 'morrow like...?  ;D

I look forward to a full report ~ but their write up on t'web doesn't sound too promising for an old 'un like me.

Ear plugs and a stab proof vest might be better.

I mean who the f*ck makes a feature out of spilt candle wax and claims it to be modern? Every bistro and wine bar did that in the 70s.

We could always sit outside?

Failing that BM there are a couple of others pubs literally 10 steps from the Marquis, can't remember the names of them at the mo though. If you have your back to the Marquis and look straight ahead they are both on the road straight ahead on the right hand side. Perhaps worth a look to see if they are more "miserable old bloke"  friendly.  ;)

I would attend today, but I am lunching with my dad in Sutton.

Have not been in an Epsom for years. Did go to the Rubbing House a few years ago though.

Many moons ago it was the gayest pub in Surrey.

Now it is a very boring eatery.
