Cold shower for you!!

Oh, of course, I forgot       redface:
Actually, all we have at the moment is a cold shower...  evil:

Did you install it?   point: point: point: point: point: point:
No...  ::)

The boiler man has ripped out the hot water tank and numerous pipes and valves and stuff... only cold water works now...

We are having a combi-boiler like...  scared2:

I had the old gas boiler replaced with a combi at our last house. Plus several new radiators where none had been before. Took the man (who worked alone) a day to take out the old and install the new boiler. We were without hot water for 5 hours and heating for a further 3 hours as he fitted and connected the new rads. whistle:
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

Ah... you didn't have it moved from the outside bog to the upstairs bathroom then...?

That would explain it...  whistle:

No ~ we had it moved from a back boiler (behind the gas fire) in the lounge to a cupboard in the back bedroom. Many pipes had to be removed and others installed. I just made many cups of tea for him. The man worked like a demon and charged £975 including the new boiler. I supplied the radiators and valves tho'. That was in 1999. We moved here in 2001.

Nothing of the sort!

Just saying what my experience was. We found the right man with just one day to spare between jobs. He wanted cash ~ he 'prolly nicked the boiler from the major development site he was working on. I wasn't interested in the whys and wherefores but with little 'uns in the house we didn't want the  heating off for too long. Remember he had to take out the gas fire too so that meant no form of heating at all and it was in winter but he rang one evening and said he could do the job the next day as the whole site he was on was shut down for some reason and would it be OK with us if he came and did the job we had discussed a couple of weeks before. I said "but I haven't got the boiler yet" he said "get the rads in the morning, I've got a boiler for you" and we did the deal. He turned up at 7.30 raring to go with a brand new, still in its wrap, boiler in his van and set to before the wife was even out of bed.

You are not in that position so my experience is only retold out of interest not for comparison ~ don't be so touchy or it will be half of mild on Friday.
