It does seem the likeiest scenario but it's 100% certain.

The plane is now 5 hours late. It would not have enough fuel to fly for a further 5 hours, even if the pilot did decide to take the passengers on a magical mystery tour. And wrap the plane in an radar invisibility cloak.

A Scotchman with a beard who is an "expert" has just been on saying the secret to the disaster lies at the bottom of the Atlantic. I would suggest that he seems fairly sure of the situation, why can't the BBC?

I've just seen some absolutely abominable footage of some of the relatives having to get help from airport security staff to get through the press vultures.

Yes, it is news but you could at least try to have compassion for these people and not shove mikes in their faces for a fucking soundbite!
