Recycling
« on: June 01, 2009, 01:15:03 PM »
Just been to the recycling centre (  ::) ) where you can't dump rubbish but can sort your waste into glass, shoes, plastic, drinks cartons, books, tin cans, metal cans, etc. should you have endless time on your hands...  noooo:

Anyhoo, the mahoosive bin that I squeezed a load of cardboard boxes into last week has a sign this week 'newspapers and magazines only'...  noooo:

So what do they expect you to do if you have a car load of cardboard boxes given that there isn't a bin marked 'carboard containers from old tellies'...?  Shrugs:

Expect to read some lumpy newspapers over the next few weeks and check your recycled bog paper for huge staples...  eveilgrin:

I like the plastic bottle ones the best.

"Only for bottles which do not contain Poly-isobutyl phenolates or Cyclo-bromyl Hexy-flourates which should be placed in the non-recyclable bin.
Incorrect disposal can result in a fine."

Guess which bin all ours go in?
I mostly despair

I shove everything into Food Waste on the grounds that I am too mean to wash it so it has food/drink still in it ~ somewhere.

Hey! I pay the freaking water bill too you know!
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.
