Snoops has had endoscopies at both ends ~ take the Valium when offered. I didn't for either and regretted it when I saw others drift out of recovery still high without a care in the world. I had to drive myself there and back on both occasions so declined the Valium. That said the upper end was more embarrassing than the lower one I think but neither were painful at all. It's the air they pump into you during the procedure that is the problem. It has to come out one way or another so you are either belching or farting like a drunken stoker for a hour afterwards ~ but the nurses just smile and say "Well done, better out than in" and other such trite expressions.
