To be honest I have never done it any other way. Avatar is stored on my Desk Top. But then I don't keep trying to change it like some.

As for all this smiting ~ frankly it is not working well at all is it?

If you save a piccy to your PC you can upload it as normal. Same with Avatars as barmisspah? was trying to do.
Otherwise you are posting a link to the picture that is hosted elsewhere on the internet.

It doesn't however affect the 'uploading' of images as they are also hosted elsewhere.

I don't see the difference apart from the use of the word "Photobucket"

Your avatart is actually hosted on my Photobucket account... check your profile.

We no longer allow uploading of images to our server... both the pictures that are included in threads and the avatarts are hosted elsewhere and simply linked to the relevant page. Simples.

If you remember, when we had problems with the pub I spent several hours uploading all the avatarts to my Photobucket account which is why yours is there... I also managed to get Grumpmeister's puss to drum his paws at the same time.
