You want to go back to a project that in the name of common sense was shelved and drill a hole into the side of a bleedin Supervolcano to see what happens underground? You do realise that the magma chamber for a Supervolcano is exponentially larger than that of a normal one because it expands laterally rather rather then vertically so you are looking at thousands of square kilometers of magma that you have no idea whether or not is eruptable and you want to create an artificial weakness in the surrounding rock by drilling almost 2 miles into it? There are certain natural forces on this planet that should never be fucked around with and a Supervolcano is at the top of that list.
In case anyone hasn't come across supervolcanoes before and isnt sure what the fuss is about, over half of Yellowstone National Park is in the Caldera of a dormant supervolcano, just to give you an idea of the scale.
