The cynical part of me thinks that this is less about pollution and more about Cornwall Council gaining assets in areas that can be developed. I'd be willing to bet that any propertied taken under compulsory purchase orders will be for well under the market value, having said that houses in Bodmin, St Austell, Camborne and Redruth probably wouldn't be worth that much to start with. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-4179320/Cornwall-locals-EVACUATED-EU-pollution-laws.html
