God must be a woman she keeps changing her mind....
THE Pope has revealed that he now believes it is acceptable for condoms to be used by male prostitutes.
His comments are in stark contrast to the Catholic Church's previous hardline stance against all forms of birth control.
But in a new book, published next week, Pope Benedict sanctions the use of condoms to prevent disease, such as HIV and Aids - but not to stop unwanted pregnancies.
He said: "There may be justified cases, for example when a male prostitute uses a condom, where this can be a first bit of responsibility.
"But it's not the proper way to deal with the horror of the HIV infection."
Last year the Pope caused fury on a visit to Cameroon when he said the use of condoms could endanger public health and increase the problem of HIV and Aids.
He said the disease was a tragedy "that cannot be overcome through the distribution of condoms, which even aggravates the problem".
