Gang members snort ashes they mistook for drugs

Five teenage burglars snorted human and animal ashes after mistaking them for Class A drugs, it has been revealed.

After a burglary, which took place at a woman's home in Silver Spring Shores, Florida, thieves made off with electronics, jewelry and two urns - one filled with the cremated remains of the victim's father and two for her Great Danes.

Police discovered what happened to the stolen ashes after the suspects were arrested last week in connection with another attempted burglary.

In a statement, deputies from Marion County Sheriff's Office said: "The suspects mistook the ashes for either cocaine or heroin. It was soon discovered that the suspects snorted some of the ashes believing they were snorting cocaine."

I have just been told by one of my neighbours (George) that in Yorkshire it is usual to 'come round the back a lot'   eeek:  shutup: shutup:

I very nearly managed to keep a straight face before escaping. lol:

I put some 'stuff' on our local FreeCycle site and someone was due to collect an item after 10.30 this morning. I stated to my neighbour that I didn't want to go out into the garden as I might miss them, hence his comment.

I was in the kitchen making coffee when there was a knock on the back door sure enough matey had come round the back to collect his microwave. noooo:

Oh yes indeedy .... keep the back door locked or the buggers tap on it as they walk in.

Only the Police, the Vicar or a Vacuum Cleaner Salesman uses the front door.


As for keeping a straight face ~ I can see why you struggled but you needn't have bothered .... he wouldn't have understood anyway.

Honestly I used to refer to my first marriage as a "Mixed Marriage". It often felt like I was involved with another culture altogether. It wasn't just the language she used that was alien to me but so was every social concept I had been raised to obey.
My ex could never understand why I would never simply walk into my Parent's house. Rather I would knock and wait.
SWUTHTBO was baffled by this. "Mak's thee a stranger in thee ow-en ho-em".
 noooo: "No dear, it is simply that it is no longer my home, it is their home and we are visiting them so it is polite to knock and wait to be invited in".
The times we had rows about that and similar "differences" in attitude.
