The cynical part of me thinks that this is less about pollution and more about Cornwall Council gaining assets in areas that can be developed. I'd be willing to bet that any propertied taken under compulsory purchase orders will be for well under the market value, having said that houses in Bodmin, St Austell, Camborne and Redruth probably wouldn't be worth that much to start with.  noooo:

Just have a simple rule.  If a diesel isn't fitted/retrofitted with a NOx reduction system it can't go into Truro etc during peak hours. 

Sad fact:  diesels are evil

Maybe not but something tells me that other councils and governments will be looking on in interest to see if they can get away with the same method of asset acquisition.....
