This was a fucking stupid idea to begin with. Cock ups like this are increasingly common because in a lot of cases the operator has no idea about the area you are trying to get an ambulance\fire engine\police car and so it ends up being sent somewhere completely different. It should be common sense, have an emergency services contact centres based in the county that they are meant to be covering, if you want to save money use one for all three services.
