I note the "shocking pictures" are marked as 'reconstruction' God knows why the Express dredged up this 27 year old story   noooo:

Indeed, the 'newspaper' seems to plumb new depths every single day...  noooo:

The only real shock to the story is that they didn't include the value of the pilot's property...  lol:

EDITED: To add I just realised it was The Express and not The Daily Fail....  noooo:

You seem to have as much fun moaning about the papers as anything else which is one of the reasons I keep posting them. Can't continuously take the piss out of you without giving something back...  angel1
The Express is a seriously shite rag.  And yes in comparison the Mail looks good - and that takes some doing

That incident was very famous at the time (you were likely at school you whippersnapper you) and it is hard to decide what is more incredible:  that the Captain survived, that he flew again, that anyone could be so bleeding stupid misfitting 90 screws or that no one went to jail

Full report:  https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/5422faa7e5274a131400078d/1-1992_G-BJRT_2_.pdf

Well, whatever, nevermind

It's good being the youngster on here  cloud9:

I get a daily news digest on my phone from a range of papers including the mail and the express (those 2 mainly to wind up BM's shite journalismometer).

He flew again after that? How the hell did he manage to fit balls that size into the cockpit.  worthy:
