I've been following this case fairly closely as my Brother and his family live in Chicago and the level of what I strongly believe is corruption from the prosecutors office meant that the vote of no confidence was guarranteed to happen. The decision to drop the charges against Smolett was just the final straw piled upon a police force who feel that they have no support from you leading to what could easily be described as protection of criminal leading to an increase in crime. Just the fact that you lied about recusing yourself from the Smollett case (which would have automatically lead to a Special Prosecutor being assigned, something that would in all likelyhood resulted in a court appearance) shows that you are not fit to stay in office. So no Kim, it's not because of your race, it's because you have shown a level of either total incomeptence or corruption that led to your position being untenable
