FFS 'poisoned for life', 'traumatised for life'. You were ACCIDENTALLY served a meat product not deliberately exposed to something, get some fucking perspective. What the hell has happened to people? Back when I was a student (and just to clarify something, at that point I had given up meat) if something like that had happened I'd have gone back to the shop, asked for what I had actually ordered, chalked it up to a mistake and carried on with my day. If people are having complete meltdowns over something this bleedin' trivial then how are we supposed to have any faith in the ability of the next generation to handle genuine crises?

rubschin:  fault on both sides here.   Greggs dismissive response at the time was pathetically inadequate and that's a big reason why she's gone OTT.  But they started it

In all honesty, given her overblown drama queen poisoned/traumatised for life response to what happened I am to say at the very least sceptical about her description of the reaction from the branch manager and head office. The responses would fit if all she had done was contact them to say she had been given the wrong product and telling head office she was a vegan.

But you're guessing

Merely offering a refund for giving her the wrong product suggests they did not want any proper investigation as to whether this was a systematic or even an employee discipline issue

A pub I used to go to had an employee that would substitute meat sausages for veggie ones if he felt like it - they sacked him

I once was given a meat takeaway burger by McDees instead of the veggie one I'd ordered.   How did I find out?  The manager chased after me in the street and profusely apologised

But no I'm not defending her wish for 15 minutes of histrionics loaded fame.  As I said, fault on both sides
Well, whatever, nevermind

Wait......what? Hang on, let me see if I have this straight. An 'anti racism' event hosted by Edinburgh University has banned white people from asking questions?  facepalm:

Call me a heartless bastard if you want but I'd have to ask just how many other people could have been helped using the money that has been spent on you to date. How many cases have there been where people haven't had the medication they could have had because it was too expensive, the over 1 million pounds you have cost could have made a difference to the lives of a great many people who had no choice in their circumstances.
