Plus we've known about the nut jobs like Maddow and Stelter for years but it's even more apparent now that Trevor Noah and co are having to present shows from their homes without the benefit of a team of public relations geniuses to make them seem like they aren't idiots.

Trump's popularity went up to that high when he told the USA it'd be over by Easter after weeks of telling them Covid was no big deal, well it isn't is it as even he has been forced to admit and the media that said it wouldn't, turn out to be the ones that were right.

Reality might be about to bite the USA very badly.  Even Trump admitting it might be 200,000 deaths IF people obey the rules he was telling them to ignore

The factor that you are overlooking is that the Federal government is in place to support City and State leadership not provide them with all the resources in advance other than their budget. Yes there are some things that Trump could have done differently but that wouldn't change the fact that other than making national level decisions such as the travel ban, creating the taskforce or enacting the DPA to try and make up the shortfall in supplies caused by mismanagement at the state level all he can do is provide support to the local state governments. Plus bear in mind that Trump has also been railing about the dangers of outsourcing manufacturing to China for years now, something that his detractors had been attacking him over by saying it was nothing more than a racist or nationalist rant.
