It's only going to be a matter of time before pupils show just how stupid the rule is when they can have free periods by telling the teachers of the classes that are exempted that they don't feel safe in them because of the physical contact that is banned in the rest of the school and therefore cannot be forced to attend.

I came very close to working there on a joke job years ago but I was too cynical to take it. Back when call centres were being moved offshore they wanted someone to go out there and teach the operators about British culture so that they could pretend they were still in the UK. So basically someone who could explain to the staff about Eastenders, Coronation Street, football, rugby, cricket, pop and some basic politics. It was a major company but the job seemed way too dodgy so I passed on it.
