I could tell you how to pronounce the name of the place but it will get you into more trouble than even you are used to. Just remember in Welsh the stress on syllables is not as it is in English. With the town you are going to the stress is on the middle syllable and that is where the problem lies.
As phonetically as I can manage to write it it is pronounced M'c
unt clith. Now run it all together with the stress on the middle of the word and you are getting somewhere near to Mrs Nick slapping you and The Boy having a fit of hysterical laughter ~ but you will sound as if you are trying to learn the language for which the natives will lurve you
