I am an IT god.
Well, OK, I know my way around PC's, networks etc that run Microsoft products.
My experience with Linux was limited to a server running one application that need no interference other than checking it was turned on and backups had been done.
I have a nice little netbook of my own (Acer Aspire One) that is mine and mine alone. It was supplied with XP and works fine.
But, out of sheer boredom and the possibilty of adding a little to the I.T CV I have installed and have been running Linux on it for a couple of weeks.
For the techies that givva fork it is Ubuntu 9.04 'Netbook Remix'
I am well impressed. Easy and fast to install and it runs smoothly and very quickly.
Opera seems to be the best browser I have tried on it, talks to MSN Messenger OK, Evolution email easy to connect to Gmail.
OpenOffice or similar will no doubt run fine when I can be arsed to download it.
Suprisingly little to unlearn.
Any experience Linux users in here?
How easy, or indeed difficult would it be to create a dual boot XP / Linux system on this?
