The wasp nest
« on: August 19, 2009, 07:48:04 AM »
I found it! The shed (here) contains a sort of reclining chair thingy with a foam mattress. The bastards have eaten their way into the mattress and are living in there  evil:

I have SPRAY. eveilgrin:

I gave them a good blast when they were all asleep (do wasps sleep?) last night. I shall go shortly and check on their condition  eveilgrin:

I shall be armed (evil cackle)

Have you any idea how many wasps there can be in a nest?

It's a lot, I can tell you.

We had a nest in our loft a few years ago, not a pleasant experience. Our whole kitchen ceiling was a heaving mass of wasps as they were attrected by the electric light early one morning as I was about to go fishing. Like something out of a horror movie.

The first instruction of your very comprehensive guidelines to eradicate a wasp's nest says to remove the mattress.

How the feck do you do that without getting stung all over .... noooo:

If he had any sense he went fishing and left Mrs Tel to sort it.

You do know that when a wasp is threatened or killed it gives off a chemical that attracts other wasps to its aid?
