Just what I didn't need when I got in this morning.

A report of a theft of cash (a sizable sum) from a desk drawer in the office. Reported to police who, to their credit, turned up mob-handed within about 15 minutes. Spent a couple of hours going through the circumstances with them and the guy that had the money stolen. Printing weekend access reports, speaking to staff who were in at the weekend etc, etc, etc. Even had the pedestal dusted for fingerprints!

Unfortunately the chap had left the keys in the drawer over the weekend.  doh: spoke to insurance broker  noooo:

A visit from internal audit.....some malicious sod has claimed one of my officers has been fraudulent...I am not allowed to inform him but had to go through everything and he has taken away a rucksack full of files and stuff  eeek:

It is related to one case ( a difficult case though it may be ) and  going on for 5 years  ::)  - so one week of  the files not being there isn't going to make a huge  difference  noooo:
