Skool!

That's where they learn to swear, drink, take drugs, f*ck, steal, smoke, hack into pooters and phones etc ~ a lot of it through the national curriculum under the generic headings of "Life Skills" "Pastoral" "Personal Health & Social Education"(PHSE) and "Education for Sustainable Development and Global Citizenship" (ESDGC) The latter is not allowed to be taught as a subject but has to be "Embedded" into every lesson. (I kid you not ~ SWWLTBO has just done the course)

Shame they don't put the same effort into teaching the children to read, write and spell.

ER, I'm late in on this again, but -

Usually ISPs will replace routers.
If you have to buy/borrow one, try and get the same make. For some unknown (and very stupid) reason some ISPs will not operate with some makes and people like AOL refuse to give any technical support for certain makes )I had that with them last year when I was setting my dads connection up).

Most connections configure themselves - mine was just plugged in and it got the settings after a few minutes - I don't leave it switched on all the time either.

I expect you thought of it but you haven't plugged in another phone or answering machine without the filter thingy as well by any chance have you?

I know somebody who did that and had to get a man in to point it out.  redface:

Miss D we could help you out by pushing you off this virtual bridge, if you think that would be of assistance. whistle:

I am still without t'internet at home  evil:

Today is last straw day and if I do not receive a call or it is fixed I will be having a monumental hissy fit and terminating my contract.

Even though I may have to give a month's notice to terminate my contract  can I in the meantime get another provider to take over and not have to wait the 4 weeks or so ???

If they are not providing the contracted service I think they would find it hard to enforce any contract asking for 4 week notice. As for other providers most will take your arm off to get your business but they all take a few days to get up and running. Nothing seems to be as instant as they claim.
