A prime example of someone who I've binned as a so called 'friend'.

Someone I know from my motor club days asked to be my 'friend' a few months ago.
Haven't spoken to him for several years, and he was a bit of a 'willy waving' toss pot anyway tbh, but, being the friendly person that I am, i clicked on the yes button. ::)

Now I am even more hurt that you didn't click the 'yes' button to my request.  sad32:

So, before the interweb, did people actually bother to try and find out what their ex's were doing now?

Absolutely not, but my kids use to mention things in passing. To be honest, the further North she went and the further South I went, the happier I was. I know from my girls profiles on Facebook that she's on there too, but I have never felt the need to see what she's doing or where she is.

I have to say that I was not looking for my ex. I was looking at my Daughter's page, to which she had directed me in a phone call, as she had put up some photo's of the Grandchild and friends celebrating their GCSE results.

I was totally unprepared for the fact that she had also up-loaded a picture of herself with her mother.

Had I known I would not have gone near the bloody page.

I suspect that daughter knows this and I have been entrapped.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

The ex Mrs Tel is not on Facebook, but she is on FR.

Looked her up there (plus some others) - wished I hadn't. Upset me greatly.

I've attempted to do that, but thankfully (probably)  never found who I was looking for. cry:
Probably married with different surnames now, so just as well really.
Mustn't dwell and dig around for things too much in the past, wishing you'd done this, and hadn't done that etc., as tempting as it is. noooo:

In the case of the ex Mrs Tel, she remarried and went of to OZ. She stayed there for 13 years and was beaten constantly by her husband during that time. She finally left him and went back to Bromley, UK.
It wasn't regrets as such, more a horrible combination of anger and helplessness.
I didn't contact her (thought about it for a long time), but I was inquisitive and did some more digging.
She has married again and things now seem ok.
