My heart literally sank when I read this thread title  sad24:  sad24:  sad24:

But it is not just me ...others here are going for interviews or 2nd interviews

I have been told to leave the building as soon as my interview is over on Friday - that sounds so reassuring already  noooo:

Throw a sicky. They can't sack you if you are sick.

See GP about "Stress" and get a long term sick note + loads of "happy pills"

Miss D, as you said about work on another thread:

Anywhere but here right now.......

Maybe it's time for a change and this will provide the impetus ~ whatever "they" decide.

You are right Uncle M and I am dissatisfied with life and what it has to offer right now  cry: - I do believe it's time to change some things. However I would like to consider these changes and their merits whilst I am still earning a salary and able to pay my mortgage.

Tbh - being a hermit on a Greek island is very appealing as long as I have enough food to eat  cloud9:

You must have caught the drift of the whole restructure by now - the politics, who is in and who is out. It's not a rational process - it's cross-hatched with rivalries and stuff. If you need the job that badly (as you do) your paranoia will tell you that you will be out on your ear. If that happens then the interview was nothing to do with it. Take the pay off and some here( cough - but not just me) can point you in the direction of private work.

Otherwise you may well walk out with a promotion.

I have seen this happen often in the public sector. Honest

I know little of the public sector but would have thought with the depth of knowledge our MissD has of it, there would be a fine opportunity to consult into it. Are they not all trying to cut staffing costs and buying in expertise on an ad hoc basis?

Actually, I did have a little brush with the 'public sector' earlier in the summer; I was asked to submit a quote for providing a particular, short term service which I duly did more as a favour than a need because I know the people involved. I then went off on my recent 'overseas' contract (ok ~ hols!) and returned to find the need had been filled by someone else. The reason? There was so much paperwork and checks to carry out (including CRB checks!) they opted to book someone who was already on their books.  noooo: Frankly I was quite relieved to find I didn't have to do it.  lol:

I now know most of the questions that are going to be asked  redface:

Sssshhh don't ask how  shutup:

Feeling a lot better about the whole process now ...but to be honest they were questions that I thought might come up and had been working on these and a few other model answers ..... cloud9:
