All this talk of Windows has just reminded me, my Vista pc crashed with a corrupt HD at the weekend. Eventually I reformated and restored the original Vista. Works fine now but so far I've installed about 90 updates to bring the Vista from it's state 15 months ago to current.  Banghead

My Vista desktop has been playing up again, running realy slow, crashing and having trouble starting up Windows. I'd had enough so I bought a new hard disk today along with Windows 7. (about ?150 all in)

Fortunately I had a second PC working so that I could look online to see how to access and remove the drive casing so that I could change the drive. Would have been stuffed otherwise. Anyway, turned out to be very simple (as most things are once you know how) I then installed Windows 7, surprisingly easy and a damn sight quicker than Vista. It promptly downloads an update!

I been adding printer drivers and Office, configuring the internet (it comes with explorer) and now I have, to all intents and purposes, a new PC.
