Office Charity Events
« on: September 22, 2009, 11:13:16 AM »
Ok - so you have the usual Dress Down Fridays  , and global gift aid requests for those running marathons, 10k's and the like at the weekend , and you often get adoring parents bringing in their sponsorship forms for their beloved angels...but this week we are having an all new event.

Cake factor  eeek:

Over 50 people have offered to make cakes and it will cost you ?1.50 to try a sample of those you most like the look of ( limited to 10 cakes only ) . Your cakes will be scored and a winner declared  ( unknown prize as yet though  rubschin: ) . The proceeds are all going to Chareety  - hopefully not something to do with tackling obseity  lol:

Could be the best ?1.50 I may or may not spend ( depending on the look of these things) in a long time  cloud9:

That depends on the size of the "sample"!

Honestly this is getting more and more out of hand. One of the things I DON'T miss with the boys now being educated at home is the almost continuous begging bowl that the schools send round.

I remember 'hash cake' being all the rage back in the 60's.

That should get the donations up.

We have that problem here. SWWLTBO usually solves it by making two cakes (one has, of course, to be egg free).

I am giving a few hours of my valuable ( angel1) time on Saturday at a local charitable event. I shall not be making cakes, soup, sandwiches, flapjacks, biscuits, tea or coffee; I shall be taking the money  eveilgrin:

I've done it for a few years and been glad to do so; it's actually quite entertaining if you can imagine a gay version of Hell's Kitchen  lol:
