Annoyingly
« on: September 29, 2009, 01:15:10 PM »
I have put 3 CDs (set-up for wireless router and set-up for adaptors) AND the code for remote access to the "locked" and thus secure wireless router in a safe place.
Now I cannot find them    cussing:

I know they are together in one cardboard sleeve.
I know what it looks like (White card, orange and black printing with the word NETGEAR writ large upon each item).
I DO NOT know where they are  Banghead

My office is not large (9'7" x 6'6") with book shelves on both sides. I have emptied all shelves and placed everything back on them.
I have been through every hanging file in the cabinet, cleared and refilled the shelves in the pedestals of my desk. No drawers  eyes:
I have emptied and refilled the trays used to hold papers that have yet to be filed.
SWWLTBO asked if I was having a "Spring Clean"  Explode:

I am hot, dusty and mightily pissed off and still I cannot find the damned disks.

Meanwhile Minor cannot get "on line" wirelessly and is whinging bloody nonstop. I may have to keell heem  eveilgrin:

Shrugs:

Exactly ~ there is nothing I can do as I cannot access the router without the code.
Netgear say there is no bypassing the need for the code so why don't I buy a new one "As yours is probably old kit now anyway sir"  Angry9:

;D Indeedy Uncle. Two annoying matters resolved today, others on the horizon now shrinking into proportion.

My master plan is that to deal with the current problem or at least buy time is to see if Minor's WiFi laptop will work at local McDonalds. If it does the problem lies in home wireless router, if it doesn't the problem lies in the machine. At least I will then know what I am dealing with. Meanwhile I have an excuse to scarf a burger!

Don't rob me of the chance to scarf a burger without the kids & wifey knowing. I'm a done deal, a busted flush, already knocking on death's door. They have a lifetime ahead of them. One burger more or less can't hurt me now. Anyway I am willing to risk it for the sake of Minor's laptop.

Besides ~ I shan't go in ~ just use the drive thro' and park in the car park with the burger in one hand and the laptop in the other ..........

What could possibly go wrong? whistle:

I'll never know now because last evening I fiddled with Minor's laptop and connected WiFi.
rubschin: Not entirely sure how but it werks like so that's all that matters.
