Death by chocolate
« on: October 02, 2009, 10:20:40 AM »
The Chef has just brought in a chocolate cake to celebrate her birthday (belated - her memory was jogged by my recent event)

She used the "River Cafe Chocolate Nemesis" receipe:

675g dark chocolate (70% cocoa)
450g unsalted butter
10 eggs
675g caster sugar

 eeek:

I made a torte like thing recently. Four bars of high % chocolate and two pots of cream melted together with some butter and served on an amaretti crumb base.

Beyond rich.

I had one teeny tiny sliver. And I do mean tiny, less than 1cm wide. It was for Mr Wench's birthday cake he and the in laws demolished it over three days.
