And so it begins
« on: October 05, 2009, 06:39:29 PM »
Christmas that is

I was asked at the weekend by some friends what my plans are and would I like to come to them  Banghead Banghead Banghead

I was affronted by a display in the supermarket when I went to get my brekky  Banghead Banghead Banghead

The Argos catalogue has already got pages turned down for me indicating The Brat has been indexing her wish list  Banghead Banghead Banghead

An email went around the team today offering choices of venues and set menu's for the big team knees up  Banghead Banghead Banghead

Once my bedroom has been completed I am officially hibernating - again  whistle:

Unfortunately Mr Pirate I have learnt from bitter experience that dreams don't come true ...nightmares occasionally ...dreams never  sad24:

You have to have a positive attitude. Remember Oddball in Kelly's Heroes.

Quote "Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?"

Oh I am a positive soul honestly ...enjoy a good laugh ....and am finally able to enjoy a bit of freedom now that the Brat is getting older.

I have a lot of things to be thankful for and I genuinely am.

However I am now more of a realist ......after many, many years of being a dreamer. But again that is not a bad thing ....maybe it means I'm getting more mature . God I hope not  lol:

Solitude is painful when one is young, but delightful when one is more mature

Personally I find that people with a permanent positive attitude just don't now what's really going on. And they're bloody annoying.

Oooooooo Uncle! Your cynical inner self is showing.

I used to have one of those "inspirational posters" on my office wall until a new MD ordered its removal.

The picture was of a very depressed looking ape beneath which was the legend
"Anyone here who is happy with the situation ~
     CLEARLY doesn't know what's happening"
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

Indeed it is Uncle, indeed it is.

The new MD referred to earlier was parachuted in following a take over and he didn't even have the bottle to tell me himself but told the Building Manager to tell the cleaners to remove the poster. Arse!

He only lasted 4 months.
