Never mind whats in ones sarnie. Lets look for a moment at who made it.

Or more to the point which gender does said sarnie maker belong to.

Wimmin cannot make proper sarnies. All blokes know this.

Wimmin sarnies consist of summat (usually with a high rabbit food content) in the middle of a slice of bread with acres of space between that and the crust.

Bloke sarnies consist of mahooshive filling with a bit of bread on the bottom and (if your not posh or Norgwegian) on the top as well.

It's the same for cobs (insert generic local term such as barm, batch etc here) if a bint makes it you need an MRI scanner to find the filling.

I make my own packed lunch and Mrs TG is quite happy for me to make hers as well funnily enough.

My grandfather used to give me a choice of sandwich if I popped int to see him after school -

salad cream
or condensed milk
or sugar

Absolutely daft, but very enjoyable when you are 6 years old.  cloud9:

That is such nonsense ....the perfect sandwich ( as I made yesterday for lunch ) is doorstep size portions of bread ,cut yourself  whistle: , grilled crispy rashers of bacon ( and loads of them ) , grilled vine ripened tomatoes and loads of em , and a tiny bit of lettuce. The filling should at the very minimum equal the width of the bread but ideally be double  cloud9: cloud9: cloud9:

Replace "grilled vine ripened tomatoes and loads of em , and a tiny bit of lettuce" with a nice fried egg and you could have your first customer!  lol:

Runny egg mind! [puts arm around shoulder]

Yes, to sandwich fillings.

Can you even remember the last time you had condensed milk?

You are secretly a bloke aren't you? No ordinary woman could make such a delight.  cloud9:

The 'slice own bread' part reminded me of a childhood image of a great aunt in a flower patterned, full length apron sawing slices off a home made loaf with a huge serrated knife, holding the loaf to her ample bosom and cutting towards herself.  scared2:

I didn't know the word mastectomy back then.
