Right. I managed to get a fairly large punnet of pure fresh cranberries last night from the Morrisuns.
God almighty they are bitter, not unpleasant at all, but you wouldn't lob a handful in yer gob that's for sure.  noooo:

So, how best to eat them then? Sprinkle of sugar with some fresh cream like stawberries? Shrugs:

The price of them, they've got to be eaten.

Morrisuns have got some right old weird and wonderful friut and veg.  ;D
I saw this peculiar looking Dragon fruit and duly purchased it.
Looks like the jesters 'at tbh, but I haven't got the foggiest what it is or how you prepare it for scoffing.
Anyone tried one? confused:

Cranberries are best made into a jam/jelly or sauce by boiling them with sugar

Cranberries are rather peculiar to be eaten as just as berry. We juice them or make them into a sort of chutney/jam thing to eat with poultry.

Not knowingly but sometimes it is best not to ask what the chef has put in a dish you enjoy. Used to eat in Thai restaurants quite often when I worked in London and seldom knew what was in the superb side dishes.

Wulfed it last night, and the general opinion is that it DOES indeed taste like a cross between a Kiwi and a Pear.
Not overly exciting like, and those black bits look a bit like frog spawn tbqh. Bit off putting. sick2:

Fine looking fruit though. I've suggested getting a few and lobbing them on the crimbo tree as deco's. rubschin:
